It's a little difficult to navigate at first, but it posts links to thousands of stories in forums with specific topics.
If you're looking for a fic about a certain character, you can just google the character's name and "fan fiction."

If you are really a HP fan, try Hogwarts Extreme. It's a site that is very interactive. Once you join and do a brief profile on yourself, why you like HP books and who your favorite character is, you get sorted into a house by the Sorting Hat. I'm in Hufflepuff. It's sort of a role play site but a lot of the forums are about characters and book plots. Check it out. It's fun.

I love fanfiction.net. There are about 279,000 great Harry Potter fanfics on there, some for EVERY taste: Ships, time travel, angst, slash, etc.
