Bournemouth, nice area, social housing under severe pressure, high immigration area. The last time I enquired it was in excess of 4 years for a family 3 bed home. For that you have to be the in area and on the list, and be deemed a priority. Single people will fare slightly better because they tend to have a glut of studio flats. Again you are looking at 2 years. You need a Bournemouth address to get on the list with any hope of getting somewhere. Use a friend/ relatives, when they do offer you somewhere, they will visit. As long as you are at the address, no problem.

the waiting list for council houses all over the country are huge
in Bristol i was told at least 10 years for a flat.

do thhey still have grab a granny night in bournmouth, gigalos used to go their to find rich widows, back in the 60s
