It is quite normal to see ups and downs in sexual intensity between a married couple. And from what you say, you seem to have a great deal of sexual energy and drive and passion in you. It might be just true that you are indeed happier when you make love.
I can relate to you though I'm a man. I feel more confident and happier when I have sex more often. Intimacy is a big thing in life for me. If it isn't just about making out, it sure can be kissing, cuddling, just having fun together, being playful and teasing sometimes, etc. I enjoy being playful when I'm not having sex. Thats what I guess you seem to miss too.
Feel free to write or share your thoughts with me - IM/email me if you'd like.

I believe, it is not normal when a person is active in the very beginning he should be the same all the time that you think so, I would personally look at other possibilities, that are hiding in the closet they could be factors that are contributing to this dilemma. Do not give up find the problem?

Kids will make a definite change in your lifestyle. Why not take advantage of time for yourselves if the kids are not home--nothing wrong with it.
