Gerald Ford did a poor job as President. By pardoning Nixon, he set the stage for future Presidential crimes and abuse, including the Iran-Contra Affair (Reagan), domestic spying (Bush Jr) and offical secrecy run amuck (particularly under Bush Jr).
Ford opposed funding school lunch programs and other progressive legislation. He did not propose a single piece of legislation that has proven useful for the majority of Americans.
His only positve achievement during two years as President was the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt.

I reflect back to the time of how he came into office as President. The scandal of Watergate and the Pardoning of Nixon were difficult times for everyone in America. Then I look at the life of Betty Ford and all the personal as well as public things she had to face while her husband was in office. My sympathies to the family. Mr. President, may you rest in peace.

Why do americans drop to thier knees and kiss the feet of presidents? Our forefathers said this....
"Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President."
President Theodore Roosevelt
Protect your country from criminal politicians!
