From what I have read and heard, some one with a point of view like yours do not "over come" their condition, they just learn to live with it every day. I am glad to hear that you want to stay at a healthy weight and not an extreme of either or. I wish I could give you more advice but I am fighting my own battle of weight except after loosing weight and getting down to 200, I jumped to 300, do not let that make you scared. I contribute that to eating a lot of mcdonalds, not exercising, and then getting pregnant (only 30 lbs gain from pregnancy so do not let that scare you for the future eithert) anyway- good luck

there is secure practices themes right here. you detect out why he's insecure and concern solved. try a night easy. night mares would desire to be enjoying a key place in this. reveal screen his television, video games and so on. this would help. The replace between toddler and teen may well be a dramatic time for some little ones. perhaps he's being bullied in college. there is mostly a reason while a toddler reflects concern. Watch him in the process the day to make certain what forms of different habit is changing. on occasion, as mum and dad we would desire to step lower back from the difficulty and check out it as an observer not as a make certain.

Get involved in other activities clubs or whatever.
Find ways to define yourself by more than your weight. Follow interests, hobbies, etc. Dive into studies or your work. Take pride in what you do.
In the meantime, use objective means, (standards etc), to check whether your weight is within healthy range. If you lose weight, look for HEALTHY approaches like
Weight Watchers or G.I. Diet that are recommended by heart associations and others who are not just trying to make money off you. (http://www.gidiet.com)
You respect yourself and you'll find ways to look better. Define yourself only by your looks and you'll get trapped. Be patient.
Take yourself to a movie.

Please seek out a therapist who specializes in eating disorders. You sound like you have little self-esteem, and that your weight is the only thing you are proud of, and can control. See a therapist to help you figure out where to go and what to do. Even though you may not "need" help, it will make the process easier and quicker for you. Good luck.

The only true way to lose weight is through diet and exercise. There are no miracle cures and no miracle pills. My teenage daughter has a tendancy to gain weight, all I tell her is this.......indulge yourself but not all the time. If you over induldge at christmas (as we all do)......then dont do it for a few weeks. No one says you cant eat the things you like.........just dont do it all the time. If you gain some weight, lose it again and then if you gain it back, lose it again, but dont beat yourself up about it and in the end who are you doing that for? Some prince charming who will never come? The thruth of the matter is....you can be beautiful like Pamela Anderson but empty on the inside and what does that get ya? Divorced three times over.............the true love relationships are the ones that are built on loving someone on the inside not the outside. Fix your self esteem it will make you beautiful no matter what your weight is.............

Usually psychotherapists teach clients to overcome their fears by approaching what they fear head on. I will use the article "New Nietzschean Diet Lets You Eat Whatever You Fear Most" as the source for the rest of what I have to say.
"'"One must strive to eat dangerously as one comes into the Will to Power Oneself Thin,' Nietzsche wrote. 'What do you fear? By this are you truly Fattened.'"
You must eat past the fear of becoming fat "'by eating it in Heroic Portions.'"
