I'm from Yorkshire and there's a few meanings-something you wear on your feet,to get rid of someone as in "she gave him the boot", the thing on the back of a car and a horrible person as in "what a nasty old boot!"

well, there are a couple of meanings.
1) something that is worn on the foot. (see my new boots?)
2) to kick someone out or off or to be fired. (Johnny got the boot yesterday)
