I created a file that I will need to adjust/add to weekly. Now it's properties say it's Read only...WHY has this happened?

How can I get it back to "normal" so that I can add to it again?

Will I have to erase the CD RW that I put it on and re-copy the file?

Are you sure the CD is formatted to allow Re-Writing?

Some software saves all DVD/CD files as Read Only. If you need to add to it or make changes just copy it to your hard drive and then uncheck the read only so you can make your changes. After you are done copy it back to the CD and it will ask you if you want to over write that file. Just say yes.

For obvious reasons while the file is on your CD Rom it will say read only. Just load it onto your hard drive go to properties and uncheck read-only. Make the changes you want and resave. It will over write the old one.
