My 7 month of basset hound pulled up the edge of the carpet where it is rolled under and tacked from where it meets with the laminate floor. She also shredded the little carpet fibers about an inch deep in one spot, so I can't just tack it under. I was going to trim it all the same, but when I started looking at it, there won't be enough carpet left to reach the edge of the laminate flooring. Is there something I can buy that will just go ontop of both edges to cover it up and be durable? This is by my front door.

Also...would anyone like a basset hound, free to a good home. Loves eating carpet and shoes. Just kidding!

I can't cover the spot where she unravelled it...it is literally 4 feet in from my front door. The entryway is laminate, followed by carpet.

You can get wide metal things to put in the doorway that will cover it. Just ask anybody at Lowe's or Home Depot. I'm not sure what they are called but you can screw them down into the flooring between rooms. There are lots of kinds some plain some are fancy. Also be sure to tack the carpet underneath well so it doesn't fray over time. Spray some Pet-NO on the area to ward off future episodes.

I would love a basset hound if you change your mind again.

Fold under and then put on tack stripe . About the spot that about 0ne inch deep cover it with a floor lamp, chair, couch or anything that would look good in the spot. But the capet look's real bad then you probably need to go to Lowe's and get new carpet

The best thing to do is buy a cheap area rug and place over this area. Your dog will chew this up too, that is why I said cheap. The puppy should outgrow this stage. Once he has outgrown the digging, might want to replace the carpeting
