Use plain old sugar or sea salt. My dermatologist told me that was the best and it really works well. My skin is very oily on my forehead and nose, but dry everywhere else. Medicated scrubs work on my oily areas, but make my dry areas get patchy, flaky dry skin. Since using sugar or salt--I don't get nearly so shiny during the day and my pores have shrunk so small, I can barely see them any more.
Think about it--a lot of spas do sugar or salt scrubs and charge a fortune for it. Go to the grocery store for the same exact stuff (unperfumed, of course) and save a few bucks to get the same results. If you must have the scent--go to a health food store and get aromatic oils to add to the chosen scrub. I like grainy sea salt or kosher salt the best--it is a great exfoliater.

Call any dermatologist and they will confirm the acceptability of sugar or salt as a gentle scrub.

There are many face scrubs available in the market to suit your kind of skin. You will have to try them out to see which one is best suited to you. What is suited to one person need not be suited to another, even though they both may have the same skin type, as most OTC products contain chemicals, and different people react to them differently. Oriflame and Synergie have good facial scrubs. For home treatments, apply an egg white pack on your face once a week. Scrub your face with a besan, haldi and curd mixture.

To make a wonderfully effective home-made face scrub, grind together 2 or 3 almonds with a teaspoon of lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey. Apply on face as a scrub to exfoliate dead skin.
Another excellent scrub that I strongly recommend is to combine one tablespoon of ground walnuts and almonds with 2 teaspoons of honey and a quarter cup of cornmeal. Blend this well and apply to remove dead skin.
Baking soda, blended with a little water and applied gently on a cleansed face makes for an excellent freshening scrub.

I like the Queen Helene Cocca Butter facial scrub. What also works for me is making a paste out of Cetaphil cleanser and a teaspoon of baking soda great option because it exfoliates without giving you the feeling that you are scrubbing the hell out of your face.

sure, scrubbing an oily dermis will make your dermis to produce extra sebum.. it somewhat is as a results of fact, once you scrub, it somewhat is going to stimulate the subcutaneous gland to produce extra oil out of your dermis. it would not recommend you may not scrub, yet attempt to apply the scrub as quickly as in a week.. St.Ives is an award triumphing scrub, i've got used it so some time past and nevertheless utilising.. its impressive... it polishes your dermis large... proceed utilising it..

Apricot from St. Ives or even the Walmart brand works great for me. My T-zone gets very oily and everything else tends to dry out. I use the Apricot and follow up with Purpose daily face lotion.
