I'm not familiar with the term "yellow revolution," but I'll guess. The properties of many oil seeds are relatively easy to modify genetically. This is good news. We can designs oil seeds that have less trans- and saturated fatty acids (poor for health). We can design oil seeds that produce oils similar to those produced by whales (good news for whales). Due to the projected decreases in oil production, oil seeds may someday also be an important source of alternative energy.
