In 2008? Faster then a fly that lit in the meltin' pot. The Republicans will have an uphill battle in 2008 anyway- that would make it a lot worse. There's a reason everybody's getting excited about the democratic candidates like any one of them could be the next president of the United states, and that' because whoever captures the nomination probably will win. Expect a sacrificial candidate from the GOP...

The name "Bush" would be the kiss of death for any candidate. Just knowing there was another Bush a heartbeat away from the presidency would have everyone - except for that 30% who approve of Bush - voting for the Democratic candidate, even if it were the devil.

yes, it would be an embarrassing loss. the dems could run their donkey mascot against that tandem and still win. i kinda hope jeb runs, so that guarantees a democrat in the white house in 08

There is a good chance. Jeb is a Roman Catholic and there has only been on other Roman Catholic as a president, and that was Jack Kennedy.
