I typically use eyeliner, eyeshadow, eyelash curler, and finish with the mascara.

I apply eyeliner first because I do not like a harsh line. (If you want a more prominent line, then apply shadow first.) I use a cue tip or an eyeshadow brush to rub the eyeliner into the lash line. Applying the shadow over the line helps the liner to blend.

Next I before I apply the mascara I use my eyelash curler. It is easier to pull out your eyelashes if you are already wearing mascara. It will also make your curler dirty.

Finally I apply my mascara. If I feel my lashes are not bending with the curler I will often heat it with a hair dryer to produce a curling iron effect for the lashes. (Test on your hand first so you don't burn your eyelid.) I feel the mascara should be last in any makeup routine, to prevent getting powders or gels in the lashes and covering the mascara.

I put my eyeshadow on first, followed by eyeliner. I only use mascara when I really want to go all out, cuz its such a pain in the a** to get off, and I never use an eyelash curler.

I love eye makeup and this is from the information I've accumulated over the years.

I always like to start off with eye shadow first. Try with two or three different shades for dimension, it brings your eyes out. Start off with the bottom and put the most neutral shade. Where your brow bone is put the darkest color (not too dark if its daytime shades) this is where majority of the color will be, so use a thick brush and about 1/4 inch closest to the top put the lightest shade-- preferrably white. This is the thinnest line since its so close to your eyebrows so use a thin brush. After its dries put eyeliner. Start at the point closest to your eyes and work your way out. I prefer to use liquid eyeliner. Then let that dry for a minute and put your mascara on and then curl your eyelashes. When curling your eyelashes make sure all the eyeliner is dry first to avoid smudging.

hope this helps!

Eyeliner,Mascara,Eyeshadow, then Eyelash Curler if you curl your eyelashes before they are dry they will stick to the curler and it makes a BIG mess!

I do eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and then curler.

I would have thought to do the curler first and then the mascara, but the instructions that came with my curler explicitly say to do the mascara first. Then curl.

I'm still not 100% sure I'm doing it right....

Normally you should use eyeliner, curl, then mascara but if you have having your eyeliner smudge and leave a residue on your curler try curling then applying the eyeliner. Or you might want to try a different eyeliner. Creme liner (HiP brand has a great creme liner in many colors) which usually don't rub off as easy.

Everyone does it differently. I say 1. Curler 2. Liner 3. Shadow 4. Mascara. It helps everything from getting smudged.
