I want to know who has the fastest laptop, me or my friend. I have a better processor but he has more memory. Maybe there is a program that time the duration of some task and would allow to compare computer speed?

Take your pick. SISoftware Sandra, Aquamark, 3DMark, and PCMark are good programs for measurements.

I would recommend a mac, it doesn't get viruses and it is very reliable. Try the mac store web site. I got my ibook G4 for around 1,400 with blue tooth and and many others. It also has Iphoto, safari (Internet provider) mail, the works, I highly recommend it!

i dont think so but memory is a key to speed more so than proccesing power
