Please keep in mind that I am 12. No matter what I do or say they always treat me like dirt and I try to act like I don't care but inside it really bothers me. Sure they are nice sometimes but normally they are nothing but mean.

Hi, I'm Abby. I'm 11, and the boys in my class didn't respect me either. Guys our age have something called "*********". It means they're concieted, or full of themselves as you've probably heard. It's annoying, and they seem to think that anything girls can do, they can do better.

Obviously, they're sadly mistaken in many ways. Don't let them get to you, and don't show them that it bothers you. When they bug you, say,"Excuse me, but I don't think that I was talking to you, so...what's the thing I was wanting to say?...Oh yeah...shut up."

Don't ever let guys think that anything they do is better than the way you did it. Demand respect if you have to, but make them respect you. In my grade, there are more than guys bugging girls. Guys are just now growing up, and they're also turning into perverts. You should demand respect in situations like that, too.

Good luck.

Listen. A boy may feel respect for you but that does not necessarily mean that he will behave respectful towards you. If you could act perfectly.that will not guarantee the respect you want. Sometimes a boy will treat you badly to get attention.

Keep your distance from the mean boys. But when you have to be with them be as good as possible. Don't allow their meanness to make you mean.

There is nothing wrong with you. I gather from your question, and details that for a young lady of 12, you are quite intelligent. Boys of 12..., shoot, most men are intimidated by smart women. Do your thing. Eventually, hopefully, they'll mature, and start acting like the young men they think they are...

Well, my advice tell someone, a girlfriend, anyone. Stick together with your friends its better to stand up to bullies in groups. I know if you were my friend they would get the beating of a lifetime if they so much as look at you in the wrong way. Now, I'm not telling you to go beat them up, don't get me wrong, but stand up for yourself. Maybe one of them likes you, who knows, so they just pick on you. You know how boys are they can't or won't express what they really feel.

show them that it doesn't bother you as hard as it may be and they will do one of two things...either leave you along and move on or respect you for not caring. boys are boys and they mainly bother girls to either keep themselves busy or because they are interested in you. although you are only 12, give yourself time...trust me!!

It's just the age dear, all (well....MOST) twelve/thirteen year old boys are rude. It's just insecurity. Wait until college, guys will be chasing you like crazy.

You can't. It's the age. Wait until you're in college. Then you'll start to get it.
