The best way to get your movie made is to make it yourself. There are thousands of people out there trying to strike it rich by writing screenplays and selling one less likely than hitting the lottery. And of the ones that do get sold, most never even get made. If your idea is so great then you would write it for yourself, just to get it on paper. Once it is the best it can be, then you should look at books on selling your script to Hollywood and they will teach you about writing query letters, getting an agent, etc.

Don't do Trigger Street. It is useless. They said they are going to buy and make the best films submitted but they have only made on in like 5 years and it was terrible. Breakfast with Sharks is an entertaining book but not the best for what you are looking for.

You must first register it, usually with the Writer's Guild. Then, you have to go around to studios pitching your movie in its entirety. It may not even get made. Many scripts get shelved and may or may not get made into a movie. You should devise a plan before making any decisions.

Its a website setup (in part) by Kevin Spacey. It gives would-be writers and movie makers the chance to join, review scripts of other people in the community, and submit their own scripts to be reviewed. Its a helpful way to have your script evaluated, and you can network with people in order to ask your question to folks who may have done it.

Also, read a book called "Breakfast with the Sharks", by Michael Lent. Its helpful!
