Her answer is: "I chose personal ambition over having character and integrity."

I would only be speculating but I'd have to say that they have not separated because she does not want to be pursuing the Office of President as a divorced former First Lady. Of course, I have a hard time understanding how she thinks she's going to get very far being the only First Lady in our Country's history to have been under criminal indictment. I think she's probably have been tried and convicted if so many witnesses against her hadn't died so suddenly.

I don't believe that the marraige between them is honest to this day because I remember seeing a blurb in one of those recent gossip mags in the supermarket checkout line that said Billybob was at a function and was hitting on Demi Moore to the point where her Husband, (Kutcher?), was pretty upset about it. Billybob's a known lothario and I doubt that he'll ever change. I can see the headlines now;

EX-PRESIDENT CLINTON DEAD AT 85, SHOT GOING OVER THE BACK FENCE BY AN IRATE HUSBAND. FILM AT 11.

I am 38 years old.

If I were Hillary, my thought process would be this:

1. He is a powerful man with great potential
2. I want to go up the political ladder with him as far as we can get, therefore, I have to put up with his sexual deviations. If we divorce, I don't get to benefit from his power and it could limit his potential
3. I had an affair with Vince Foster and some others anyway, so why do I begrudge Bill his dalliances?
4. We have a child together, and therefore should stay married for her sake
5. I plan on running for national office myself, so divorce would look bad and discourage certain voters.
6. I look sympathetic to voters as the woman who has been wronged

OK - please note that I am not Hillary Clinton. But if I were in her situation, this is how I, personally, would think about things. Just my opinion, not meant to offend anyone.

Why is it that the IRS scandal and Libya are somehow Bush's fault? At no time did Bush blame a youtube vid for the attacks. He never withheld assistance from Americans calling for help. At no time did The IRS under Bush ask for personal information on donors to these groups. We were warned about 9-11 in 1996, 4 years before Bush got into office, Clinton never saw fit to pass the warning on to the incoming president. How many US Ambassadors died when Bush was in office, how many times did the attacks last over 7 hours with American help just minutes away, help that was ordered to stand down? Stop trying to blame Bush, man up and admit that obama screwed up, the 3 am call came and neither he nor Clinton answered.

No one really knows what goes on between a man and a woman. There are still many people who believe "til death do us part." Hillary chose to remain committed to her marriage, as did Bill. This type of scenario is played out in every city and every town all across the country. Their situation is simply unique in that they are both such public figures. Jacqueline Kennedy's husband was a much bigger philanderer than Clinton. FDR had a lifelong affair. These women define themselves as a separate entity from their husbands. All three of them strong in their own way. There is a personal component to what a woman endures when her man cheats on her that only another woman who has had it happen to her can understand. I honestly admire people who can work through it and remain intact.

This speaks to personal choice...and unbelievably, still something that has not been legislated. Her choices are hers...and not up for debate. They have no place in the political arena, or in our conversations here or elsewhere. What you would have done in her shoes is irrelevant. How do we know that she wasn't having affairs as well? Perhaps theirs was a relationship based upon mutual ambition. There is an abundance of information suggesting she was respected as the First Lady, and that she did a great job of it. Evidence of this lies in the fact that she now holds public office. So why would we all discuss her choice to remain with her husband? What kind of report are you doing this for anyway? What kind of course would suggest this sort of topic? Sheesh...and we wonder why kids can't spell or utilize proper grammar! Educators are now more interested in fostering a generation of people second guessing the choices of others!

Well I think it is obvious even the most casual observer that Bill and Hillary are a power couple. However, without knowing them personally it would be impossible to properly evaluate why their marriage has endured. You never know, Hillary may really love Bill and be willing to forgive him his trespasses against her, or she may just see remaining married as her best avenue to political power. Either way I do believe if anyone asks her this question she would be well within her rights to say that it is none of their business.

Well, I have absolutely no talent in anything and would not be able to hold a job....I would end up being single for the rest of my life and besides. Monica tells me Bill is good with his "cigar"

I have more power and money now....why would I give that up?
If I was divorced from Bill, I wouldn't be a good Liberal Democrat

I am over 35, but I don't think that it makes any difference with this question. My first husband cheated on me and I stayed with him because I really did love him and we also had 4 small children. What he did was wrong, but I made my choice. I have since divorced him, and no, it had nothing to do with him cheating on me. I have since remarried and love my husband dearly. I would say right off the bat that I would leave him if he cheated on me, but truthfully, I don't know what I would do unless it happened. So, no one can answer your question. We are NOT them.

Bill Clinton is a 'former' president, not an 'ex' president and I choose to stay with him because I took wedding vows that said for 'better or for worse' and MY life is MY own business.

You and I can speculate all we want but ultimately the only people who know for sure are Bill and Hillary Clinton. I really don't see how it's anyone else business.
