No, actually, I believe that most of what many people convey on this website is not ignorance but arrogance. There is a fine, fine line between these two. In any case, however, I am deeply saddened by the amount of idiocy displayed here. Immaturity and false reasoning are shown way too much. I also am frustrated by the way older people think that teenagers are stupid. I may be fourteen, yet I have surpassed the competence of many of the people on this site.I also am perturbed by the fact that people expect me to act 14, although I act in compliance with my IQ, and actually act around the age of 25.
Ick.... what a rant... hope I put a new insight on things.

Yeah, I hate to agree but these questions (as well as a lot of the answers) make me scared for the future of mankind. Forget about the atrocious spelling or the inability to formulate a coherent sentence ("Oh my God, My girlfriend saw Fiesta Bowl with me, when Ian Johnson proposed to his girl after the game winner?" - that's not even a question, it's a statement - and it's an ACTUAL "question" I just pulled off the Yahoo answers board); the worst part is people asking things that should have only taken them two seconds to figure out for themselves.
"My girlfriend is hanging out with her ex-boyfriend a lot and she doesn't want to have sex with me all of a sudden. Do you think she's cheating on me?"
"Where can I find a book on Pablo Picasso?" (um, the library?)
"Does my hair look better short or long?" (how the hell should anyone here know?)
And that doesn't even take into account the people who ask questions that have been asked a million times without doing a search first to see if they can find an answer quickly ("What are some fun things to do in Chicago?" - gee, that's only been asked 5 million times), or the trolls trying to get their rocks off by asking dumb sexual questions ("Ladies ... what is your favorite size dyck?"
So, yes, it does appear that 87 percent of the people posting questions are idiots.

Could you be more specific as to which questions make you feel that "most people are kinda dumb"? There is a broad range of questions on Yahoo Answers, ranging from the painfully stupid to the extremely thought-provoking.

It didn't take reading these questions to realize that, I realized that many years ago. For instance, I just started working for a company, and the woman I work with said she hadn't had anyone working in my position who could do more than just answer the phone for three years!!

I'm amazed every time I turn on the site. I've waded out into the deep end and I've yet to be disappointed. Your right, this is blissful!

Some people do ask dumb questions, maybe to get dumb answers. Perhaos it's to view the intelligience of others and make them feel better about themselves. Cest la vie

Yes, some are slightly dumb. There was one question a week ago asking if England and Britian were the same places.

What gets me is when the domino effect takes place. One person makes a statement and the entire group falls in line to agree when the answers are totally absurd - - it's like are you serious!
