-Because of the "Cool Factor". It doesn't exactly look cool (it'd be funny, though)

-He would have trouble swinging from one place to another if he'd have to twist in mid-air and point his *** everytime he was gonna go WH-TSSS!!

-If he spat web outta his butt, he'd have to make a hole in precisely THAT PART of the costume.
DON'T FORGET that Venom can't be picked up by Spider-Man's "spider-sense".
Now imagine an 8-foot-tall, muscle-flexing, alien/spider creature with a constant, drooly smile on his face creeping up behind you unnoticed while you have a hole in the butt region of your costume.

Because in the original comic he had canisters he put on his wrists and I am not a spider expert, but I think that spiders shoot the web out of something near their hiney, and not the buttox itself.

There are a few reasons for this:
1. the PG-13 rating

2. the true comic has them shooting out of his wrist, to stay true the commic they did the same.

3. spiders dont spin webs from their buts its from regurgitation

4. that would be too silly.

Yea the originals had him making his own web shooters and attaching them on his wrists..many times he ran out of web fliud..thats why the movies are cool because they come from his wrists...

Cause we'll never hear the end of the bad joke's that would have come from that. and then he would have never have become popular at all. it's a simple thing to realise there man. come on.

I read this question and 1st thing that came to mind was:
"duh, cause the sensors wouldn't allow it " I have been reading spider comics and watching the shows since I was a toddler.
