Both men and women have 12 ribs. Anyone who tells you different doesn't know what they're talking about, and they're definitely not going to cite any sources.

About 1 in 100-200 people have a cervical rib extra (at the top). But don't know if women get this more than men.

Neither has more ribs than the other. Where did that come from? If it was that easy to ID a male from a female skeleton, wouldn't all the MEs have a cushy job? The differences are in the size of the bones and the differences of the pelvis.

Your question is tainted by religion. Of course not. It's the same number! And we don't come from Adam and Eve. Appart from a few obvious bit, we're made exactely the same.
