An actual release date has not been announced. 7/07/07 is a rumor. Scholastic who publishes the books in the US does not have an official release date, and neither does the UK publisher Bloomsbury.

They haven't set a release date yet. You can keep checking in to Rowling's site, the publisher's site, etc for news updates. You can also set it up on amazon.com to get an email notification when the book is available to pre order (when they have the release date).
You can also probably find out through regular news sources when it is announced too. A lot of regular news outlets picked up the announcement of the title for book 7.

i think it is planned for july but they might have a different date because the movie is coming out the same mounth and it will be too much.
