Conflicts and false positives occasionally happen, and depending on what's conflicting, the whole situation might not be very pretty. As a user, there's not much you can do about it, and the programmers for the conflicting programs need to deal with it.

Does Norton and Ad-aware conflict right now? They shouldn't, but if they do, you'll have to find instructions from the Norton and Ad-aware websites. They should have addressed the situation and told you what to do.

If there are no instructions, and they are conflicting, you're in a bind. There's not much you can do, so one of the programs has to go. Choose the one you don't like...Notify the companies that make both products and wait for a response/set of instructions. And hope they get the situation resolved soon.

No it will not remove the AdAware SE program. It's not a bad idea to have more than 1 adware scanner but no more than 1 virus scanner. Companies of adware sue anti-adware companies claiming thier taking thier business away. But they can't sue everybody, so whatever Norton doesn't pick up, Adaware will.

norton for the most part will find and detetc virus's, worm, etc.. adaware or spyware it may detect but not as good as adaware does.
adaware is a good choice for getting spyware etc.. removed from your pc.
they work together in away so dont worry about any issues between the two.
just dont run them at same time (full scan and adaware)
