First of all, there is no such thing as T2. Cable/DSL almost always has a 1Mbit connection speed. T1 is about 20 times faster than that. T3 is 50 times faster than conventionall DSL.

Cable and DSL are commonly what consumers use, T1 & T2 are industrial grade speeds, common for large businesses.
