Another thoughtful question which alas may be lost on some here.. We must remember the peoples of Babylon and Mesopotamia have a history older than biblical records.. Bush in his naivety has not recognized this.

Iran is now seriously in the ascendancy in the region and their Shiite coalition must be bringing fear into Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the like. This in my view is the beginning of some serious times... I look on in horror, all for cheap oil.

For sure it will be a thankless task. The Shiites are just consumed with the fog they are in, Hate for Sunni radicals is a big cloud that blocks out reason.

Have they yet? Have they really stepped up to the plate and done their best for themselves?With the mind set of a follower of Allah, it is hard to know what they will do or think. They need the input of their religious leader to help clarify their minds. This is so far from western ways it hard to fathom.
