I live near Luton in Bedfordshire and would like to have my roof redone and also get a wall repointed.

I'd recommend searching in your phone book for roofing contractors, then checking them out through an orgainzation like the Better Business Bureau. Also approach people you know to see if they have any recommendations.

Too bad you don't live in California, because we have someone in our church who's a great contractor, for all sorts of things. His kids our two crazy little girls though... I have some horror stories about them.

Call your local Better Business Bureau and they will give you some references.
