Dear friend,
we celebrate diwali because:-
1. lord ram, laxmana and sita return to their home after 14 years of exile.
2. lord krishna killed the demon- Narkasur, who made human life worst.
3. we celebrate diwali to remember that 'good always destroys the evil'
4. we lit lamps in diwali signifying it as 'fetival of lights'- which means that lets us all have happiness, and let us all get enlightened by peace.
5. Diwali tells you to love all, even your enimies. that is why there is a custom to distribute sweets to everyone.
6. diwali also reminds us that we should never do any bad things that will hamper the life and happiness of others.
7. diwali is also signifies unity and prosperity where we all pray to lord ganesha and goddess laxmi for their grace, power and wealth.
Crackers are the invention of western people, which evolved very badly in modern time..... western people has realised its flaws and stopped it,,, but we fools are still behind it...simply because it thrills us.
festivals are kept, not for enjoyment, party and fun. they are kept to realise the god within us. they are performed to remember the good things and god inside us. it reminds us that we are a part of divinity and we should spread our message of love and happiness.
we should forget our rivalry and unite in this festival seasons....be they diwali, eid, or happy new year....
festivals always gives us the same message.... Love all and spread peace and happiness.

Happy new year.
ram
