I somehow formed the habit of waving my underwear at my crotch like a fan, to help air dry. Is that weird?

Not really I guess...I use a paper towel and at dry.

gives a whole new context to the term blow dry.
well, it may be a bit weird but if it works for you and gets your genital region well dried (which is essential to prevent infections) then it is fine and you shoudl feel free to wave yoru underwear all you want - just make sure you are waving only clean ones since no one wants to see you airing your dirty laundry.
One caveat though, when drying off after a school or gym shower you may prefer a little more towel action and less underwear waving lest the guys there give you some peculiar looks - hehe

Not really. Try a hairdryer on cool setting. Much quicker. Happy New Year.

I don't think so. My husband uses a hair dryer to dry himself after he towels off.
