i gueess you people are going to make me buy gears of war. I dont really like Halo and heard gears of war is similar..I guess I will rent it to make sure its as good as everyone ses

GoW is great, Battlefield 2 is more team orientated. those are the best. if you like other styles then i can really help but ive heard loads of good reports, check out gamespot forums the ppl are pretty 'open' on those boards!

I would say Call of Duty 3 but its too glitchy especially online, though still fun all the same, or try call of Duty 2 as well, dont know about gears of war, but try renting some games before you buy

This might be the stereotypical answer, but I'd have to say Gears of War. Single player and co-op are amazing fun, but online is even better. There might not be many modes, but it is very addicting!
