Are they suppose to be 3 feet

The ball python is one of the slowest growing snakes kept in captivity. A ball python will normally slow down it's growth rate after the first year of life. An average ball python will reach no more than 4 to 5 feet when full grown 4 feet being the average length. Most ball ball pythons in there first year will average about 1 1/2 feet to 2 feet and will reach there full grown length when they reach about 4 1/2 to 5 years old.

no our 1/12 yr old is only 2 feet and our 3 1/2 yr old he about 3 1/2 feet .. it also depends on if how much ur feeding it ... but if u over feed it it will shorten it life...normal growth is about 1 inch each shed maybe a 1 1/2 inches...

That sounds average. Growth in snakes is dependent on many things: temp, moisture, how often you feed, how big the cage is, how active they are. But 3 feet sounds average to me. =) Ours is 2 years and she is about 5ft.

thats about right they will get around 3ft not much bigger but they grow fast on the first few years.
