I had a dream about this man that I have only seen twice in real life. I was not attracted to him we just were in the same college class in real life, he was just a regular joe nice guy. Also I am very happy with my fiance that I love dearly. But last night that man was in my dream we knew eachother and were very good friends and he loved me so much..wow I still feel that love this morning it was the most powerful love I have ever felt. strange right? He was in love with me and I hurt him badly, I was back with my fiance and he found out and was hystarical. I felt that I loved him too. Just something I thought maybe someone could give me a little insight on...like I said that was the most amazing feeling of love, something I have never felt in real life, I want to feel that way again it felt so good. Powerful love that you physically feel but you still feel calm.. I cant find good enough words to describe it

Has anyone else ever had an experience like this one?

Wrong forum for this question but I'll bite...
Everything and everyone in your dreams represents aspects of you. Jung wrote of the male aspects of a woman's soul, which he called the animus, and the female aspects of a man's soul, wihch he called the anima. When these aspects are integrated, the person becomes whole and happy. This, he said, is the real meaning of various myths and fairy tales of "true love".
So when you dream of someone you barely knew, and in the dream there is a powerful love, this may mean that you barely know the male aspects of yourself, but when you meet them, there is wholeness, integration, and happiness.
Then you go back to your fiancee, which represents your outer personna, as well as your relationship to your actual fiancee, and there is conflict.
Is your relationship with your actual fiancee smothering aspects of yourself that have become like a stranger?
I would say, this dream means to seek out the stranger. Not in the sense of physically reconnecting with your old flame, but to back off from aspects of your relationship that may be smothering you, and re-connect with aspects of yourself that may be represented by the unknown man within.

I've been married a long time and several months ago I had a similar type dream. I dreamed that this man (whom I didn't even see his face in my dream) loved me so extremely, I felt that strong, calm type of love too, it felt so completely unconditional (and real life isn't always like that is it?) Well, when I woke up I actually felt myself getting angry about the dream. Why couldn't in real life I feel that same love, the same way. Because even though I would say I'm happily married, guys aren't real big on showing the kind of love I felt in that dream. Well, I got over it, I didn't bring it up to my husband,(that would just cause a fight)
Probably in your life you are missing the first time rush of emotion when you were first in love. But this said, it doesn't mean anything is wrong with your fiance. It's not normal to have that extreme rush to continue all your life.

Given that you barely know the guy you saw in your dream, I suspect that your brain's selection of him was random; you'd most likely know if you were interested in him. I think the most critical thing here is that you say that you love your fiance dearly, but you also said that you felt an incredible feeling of love in your dream, something that you have never felt in real life. If you're capable of feeling that, and you don't have it with your fiance, you may have a serious problem in your relationship. You dream may therefore have been not at all about this particular man, but rather about what you are lacking in your current romantic relationship. I suggest you explore those feelings and make the decision that's right for you. Good luck!

I really think you may want to tell your fiance' that you want a breather for a few days. Step back once free of relationships and observe both persons and determine who you like best. If you don't it may turn out that you really loved the guy in your college class but to bad because your about to marry the wrong man. If it turns out that you cannot live without your fiance' it's a good thing you did't sever complete ties with him, but your subconcious may be telling you that your afraid of commiting to
a man. This is your future, you may want to think things over ultra carefully.

But I know what your talking about when you say you felt the strong feeling of love in the dream and in the morning. Throught the next couple of days it will linger, because of the intensity of the dream, sometimes it hurts to realize it never happened, but it always never failed to make my heart feel as if it was soaring.

I know the intensity of the feelings you are talking about. The last time I had that feeling in a dream, it made me take a road trip where I met my husband... & now we're having a baby... Makes me wonder if there wasn't some purpose to the dream.
