Nope. Well, professional sports aren't. But sports are a great way to keep kids in good heath. But today, kids don't play sports...unless it's one of the games the own for nintendum, x-crok, or one of those other consoles.

I think that sports are very important. At least weekly 2 times to keep up your fitness. On this way you can avoid sicknesses, too because your blood will flow better. Either you go to a fitness center, to a sports club or you just jog. I would recommend you to do sports in a group so it won't be boring for you.
I myself do sports. I play soccer 3 to 4 times a week.
By the way it makes you feel better and calmer after you have done sports. If you do sports you really can let out your entire stress and aggressions

Sports are good for Mental stability, physical stability (unless it is boxing as that tends to cause brain damage... although the training doesn't). For younger folks it can teach discipline, respect, trust, work ethic, drive, and an important business sense. It can also help with a person's self confidence, self worth, and give them a feelilng of accomplishment. Some sports are great social skills too. A good coach can change a person's life for the better.

Yes sports are important for many reasons. They keep healthy and they are fun to watch to some people. Sports are also important pasttimes individuals look back at and remember their first ball game or whatever. Most importantly I believe its most important because its a part of everyday culture.

Sports are supposed to teach kids the importance of community or team spirit. Of course, the professional game has killed this sentiment by concentrating mainly on the financing and profit potential of sports. (i.e. Alex Rodriquez's salary and sneaker contracts being more important than team success)

I think they are an important pass-time that makes many people happy to watch. It is a good career for many of those that have great physical talent. My only problem is that most famous sport athletes are heavily overpaid.
