on the little round thing in the center of your ipod is a thing that looks like a triangle...with two lines behind it... try holding that down.... but it seems to be that if your ipoid isn't turning off, you are going to have to let it go dead and thwn charge it and reset it... i think it froze up, mine did that and i freaked but my boyfriend helped me out...so...

Hold play until the screen goes blank then switch LOCK on
