I find it amazing how many people think its ok to use work computers for thier own personal use. It is bad work ethics as one person stated. I do not think most companies have a problem with you checking your email or browsing during lunch or breaks but it should never been done during company time. I also cannot understand why people think its ok to put wallpapers on thier desktops that are offensive to others in the office. When people are at work they should think to themselves......if it were my company.............how would I want my employees to act and go from there. If you are bored at work its because either two things are happening...your job isnt challenging enough and/or you dont like your job and should resign. We spend most of our lifetime in the workforce and your wasting your life if your not doing the job you really want to. To often people stay in dead end jobs for fear of economics such as not being able to pay mortgage etc......in reality this hinders you because you will never be a good worker and never receive the paying position you could if you were efficient at it.

Yes I know that feeling only two well! Things are quite for me too and this keeps my day interesting, after all you can only stare out the window for so long! Also the women who I share the office with (and yet again has air con on) is a real mare and we dont talk.... if it wasnt for this I would go crazy..... start poking my eyes out with hot needles.... Mmmmm may be I should just get another job? At the end of the day as long as you dont get yourself in trouble and get all your work done who cares?

I'm on and probably should be working. I go on for a break between reports. I make up for it when I do work by working faster and making up the time that way.

Since most employers have access to the company computers to find out what their employees are doing on them, I'd get off here and go back to work.

There is nothing wrong with having a little fun in your cubicle. Remember, work is an abomination of the human spirit. Now that I am officially retired, I can say that with no fear of getting busted.
