What is the best season and/or episode of Scrubs?

Im a new scrubs fan and thinking about buying seasons to catch up on DVD. What season should i buy?

I don't know what season, and I'm not sure of the episode, but there's this moment that tugs at my memory.

J.D.'s father died and towards the end of the episode, Dr. Cox, and JD's brother, don football jersey's, drink beer and commiserate as only men can when they need to be men.

It is within that moment that Dr. Cox once again shows that all too rare softer side of himself.
