I am afraid your memory is a little shakey. President Regan was
given a full state funeral. In fact his funeral was even more elaborate than President Ford's funeral because the Ford family chose to have a (slightly) simpler affair. For example, the Ford funeral unlike Regan's will not include a full blown military parade.

Yes they did, they even allowed the Air Force to use one from the presidential fleet to fly Reagan's body back to California for burial.
Every head of state has a public funeral and a private family funeral.
Pres. Ford's funeral is taking place on a holiday weekend, that is the reason you think they are making a big deal out it.

They made the same deal when Regan died. And it shouldn't bother you. He was a president of this county. We should honor him.

President Reagan's death was just as big news. It was all over the networks and CNN. I will never forget the beautiful sunset
that was the backdrop at his funeral in California. I don't know where you were that week, but it was all over the news.

Um, no. Reagan's funeral was pretty much the same pomp and circumstance, as is befitting a former president.

Yeah, when Ronald Reagan died they did nothing. I don't even remember when he died, they must have kept it a secret.
Oops, I just asked my 10-year-old friend, and he remembers when Reagan died. He remembers hearing that Reagan said "tear down this wall." If a 10-year-old remembers it, it must have been on TV.

Well the picture pretty much explains itself. Just like everything else about politics!

That's not true, but you have to understand that the media coverage can be limited based on how private the family wants it to be.
