Scrape off as much as you can, then use WD-40 to get the rest off. It gets crayon off walls and detangles horse's tails too. Good luck!

I have rubbed an ice cube on the gum, which makes it really hard and then I chip it off. After that I used alcohol to remove the little bit that remained. WD-40 works great to remove sticky stuff from a lot of different surfaces. But for inside a dryer?? I'm not sure how easy it would be to get the WD-40 smell out of your dryer and your clothes. You might have to try and wash the WD-40 off after it removed the gum then run a fragrant dryer sheet by itself.

Purchase some GOOGONE or if you have a petroleum based wood cleaner (orange glow works well too). Put the product on an old dishcloth or washcloth (something with some texture) then rub away. Once gum is gone, you'll want to use a rag with Dawn and water (like you would wash the counter off with) and clean the residue off. Not cleaning the petroleum out of the dryer will affect your clothes...or cause a fire.

Place a piece of ice on it until it's really cold, then scrap it off with a putty knife. I had the situation and it popped off easily, but I suppose it depends on the surface of your dryer drum. If there is any residue, you can use some Dissolve-it or even oil on a paper towel (but then you have to clean up the oil with a soapy cloth) or you might get oil stains on the next clothes in the dryer.

I don't think there's one sure way. Along with the above suggestions, you could run it empty just to heat up the sides, then pull it off while it's warm. May take a few tries. Gum is powerful stuff - can you believe we actually put that stuff in our mouth!

Put some ice on it for awhile to freeze the gum. It will harden and then chip off fairly easily.

Run ice over it to harden it. Then it is easier to pick off. After that wipe the area with a citrus based cleaner.

I somtimes use hot water, wierd I know, to soften the gum and then just keep wiping and scraping until it is gone. You don't have to go buy anything all you ened is a towel and water. :)

scrape off as much as you can. Then use peanut butter. Rub into gum with your fingers, then when soft, wipe with a cloth until it's gone

try rubbing an ice cube on it, this moistens the gum making it easy to remove.
