if you started your periods not long ago, it will take some time to get regular. my doctor said that it takes 2-4 years before you have a constant cycle.

Gee...can you be any more vague? There are so many factors that play into periods that "periods stopped in 1 day?" doesn't mean a thing without more information.

1. Are you on the pill?
2. Could you be pregnant?
3. How old are you?
4. Have you had sudden stress in your life?
5. Are you on any new medicatons?
6. Did you start any type of birth control (other than b/c pills)?
7. Do you have an infection?
8. Are you under the care of an ob/gyn?

You must must see a gynaecologist. It's not a disease. It's hormonal imbalances. Even I had discontinuous periods. Now I am OK after having medicine prescribed by a gynaecologist. Do not delay it. Otherwise the hormonal imbalance will increase. Tell your Mom or your aunt (whoever) to take you to a gynaecologist soon. If it is not treated at time, you may have pregnancy complications afterwards. I'm scaring you, but I want to tell you that go to gynae soon....
Take Care!!

Thats not really a question, but I think I understand what you are asking. It is normal for a womens period to be irregular for the first year or two that they have a menstrual flow. I wouldnt worry about it.
