Does KABOOM really work?

Yes, Kaboom works, but there is a big caution. It will etch porcelain tubs/sinks. It works well for fiberglass/plastic shower walls, but you'd have to read the bottle about glass.

If you have to use it around/over porcelain, be sure to rinse the tub soon.

My friend took the finish off her tub accidentally.

YES it works so good. But make sure you don't leave it on longer than 3 MINUETS or it will work 2 good and might take off some things ou don't want taken off.
