An orange slice in their cage will provide meal, moisture, and vitamin c that will be passed on to your herp. It keeps them from drowning in a water dish. I also provide flake fish food. You can buy cricket cubes at many pet stores that will help. Put lots of egg crate in the tank so they do not trample and suffocate each other. it also makes it easy to gt them out, just take out a small piece of egg crate and shake it into a cup or bag. I also like to toss in a couple of paper towel tubes for this purpose, just grab the tube and shake some right into your lizards house. All in all, though, some will probably die, so it I've found it cheaper and easier to just buy more often from the pet store.

I put my crickets in a plastic aquarium with a purple slotted top, to avoid the crickets getting out, I hot glued an old pair of pantie hose to the inside of the lid. I put egg crates in there and a piece of potato. I also have a container lid and a piece of a sponge that I soak with water for them to drink. i also have food pellets in there for calcium and vitamins that are gut loading for the lizard. You have to treat the crickets as pets also instead of just food for your lizard(s). Hope this helps.

Opt for Black Crickets instead of Brown. These live longer.
Avoid feeding them soggy food items as they will only stick to it and dye, also the container they are kept in will become fouled.
Try them on some crushed cornflakes, and a small ball of moist tissue for water. Don't soak the tissue! Just add a little water.
I do this with mine and they seem to last for weeks.

What you need to do is stop buying english Crickets. English cricket is always dead after 2 days
Try buying Australian crickets, they seem to be able to outlive the english easily in recent tests
Hopefully in the next couple of years the genetic engineers will breathe new life into english crickets and they will improve

You can keep them in any sealed box or aquarium.

My Dad use to raise crickets for fishing bait. He had an old cooler rigged up for it. He would keep a wet sponge in with them for moisture and pieces of apple for food. He gave them a light bulb for warmth and he kept a egg carton (not the Styrofoam kind) in with them for a hiding place

They need a water source~ usually a damp paper towel will work. They make cricket food that you can buy at pet stores as well. They also need a place to hide. You can use the cardboard from the paper towel roll.

Are you feeding them?

You kinda need to look after the crickets, to then feed them to your lizard.

Try them with lettuce and fruit. Just a couple of pieces and they will be fine. You also need to make sure that they are kept warm too.

I used to keep mine in a large tub or tank, with a few ripped up egg cartons for cover and some sliced fruit or vegetables. They generally lasted about two weeks and kept my geckoes going strong!
