I prefer writing out my anger by using a pen and paper (call me old fashioned). It helps, and once you have everything written down you can either save it to look back on or put it through a paper shredder.

Yes. That is very helpful. For one reason, as you said, your friend probably can get very tired of all your complaining. Also, you may not want to tell your friends everything. As a result, you will not be able to get all of your feelings out, but when you write it out, then no one else will be able to read it and then you can get all your feelings out. I personally use the method of talking to a friend but I think that writing out your feelings and talking to a friend both are good methods. Using both methods when angry might help also instead of using just one. Hope that helps.

It can be. Allowing your emotions a place to be vented out is the important thing. Keeping thoughts and feelings written down in a journal can be helpful way to vent, and it also can be a way for you to go back and see how certain things have effected you and thus be means for growth.
Another useful way to manage anger is to use humor. Look for the funny side of things and try to laugh it off. President Abraham Lincoln was once accused of being "two faced" by some critics. He laughed it off by answering them, "Do you think that if I had two faces that I would go around wearing this one...?"

It all depends on how it makes you feel in the end. If you are satisfied with venting through writing, then your problem is solved. If you feel you need a connection with another human being to solve your issues, then writing won't help.
Has your best friend communicated to you that he or she is tired of hearing your complaints? If not, he or she is a good friend.
If you need help, and think that you need to talk to someone about your issues, try a therapist if you feel you are upsetting your friend.

True friends will understand. I'm sure you listen to them when they are feeling angry. That's what friends do. Never write down anything that you wouldn't have a problem with the whole world seeing.

yes it will! ... its like 'of loading' them somewhere else .. but when you do this stop thinking about them
works the same in reverse - as in - writing down what you want to get out of life - your goals, what you want to be, where you want to go. your subconcious then takes over to help you achieve these goals - the same will happen with your problems but again dont think about them - your sub concious will resolve the issues and make them happen
i am sure you have found some of your problems challenges have lessoned since you started keeping a journal.. its inportant to not think anymore about them when you write them down, tell yourself that its now up to your subconcious to solve them

Writing out your feelings is a great idea. It is as simple as that. You still need to talk to your friends though.

Yes, I think writing down your most vile feelings is cathartic. Just don't be tempted to share the document. In fact, write it all out, then burn it.
