Wow! A Lions fan! I thought I was the only one. :-)
Personally, I think Brady Quinn is going to be a bust. Even if not, if he's available, I'd rather see Detroit trade the pick. They need MUCH more help than a single hit-or-miss quarterback is going to be able to fix. If you look at most of the big-name quarterbacks in the league, for every top pick Peyton Manning there are half a dozen Ryan Leafs, Tim Couches, and Joey Harringtons. Remember Andre Ware? Meanwhile, Tom Brady and Drew Brees are pretty darned good, and neither of them were drafted highly. The pick doesn't make the player a sure thing. Besides, the Lions need depth before getting a star quarterback is going to do them a lick of good. I can't help but wonder what Joey Harrington or Jeff Garcia would have done had they had a good offensive line, a good running option, and a receiver that could catch a ball.
If they have to pick a QB, I hope they go with Troy Smith. He's proven to be a much better big-game player. Regardless, I hope they pass on the QB lottery and do something good for the TEAM for a change, instead of just trying to make a big, meaningless splash in the news on draft day.

If they're smart then no
and whoever said Troy Smith is a freakin moron
I think Quinn will be taken by Oakland, however the Raiders might go with Calvin Johnson to fill another need instead. If this is the case, then the Lions might be temped to take Quinn, but I think it would be better and pay off more in the long run to take Wisconsin tackle Joe Thomas to give Kitna some time back there and clear the way for Kevin Jones

Man i was exciting the raiders lost sunday and lions won.As a oakland fan that is rare but its sad to say oakland offense was horrible. Now that we had a chance to get matt leinart and didnt we better not pass up brady quinn.Troy Smith was the heisman this year and still going to be in the second round for a heisman thats pathetic.Anyways stupid al davis will draft calvin johnson instead of adrian peterson or brady quinn. And oakland will be stuck without a qb again. If they start aaron brooks or slow dumb turtle walter we might be lucky if we won one more game.

Troy Smith will NOT! be the first pick in the 2007 draft he will be lucky to go in the third round...U never what the Raiders are gonna do but my guess is that they love Calvin Johnson WR from Georgia Tech who is a bigger freak than Moss.. on the field that is. So Brady might fall to yall at 2 but you need to get rid of Matt Millen and after Brady get some defensive help.

i hope Millen can come up with a better plan than to draft a quarterback that doesn't want to play in detroit. if the lions are smart they will avoid drafting Quinn and look at building an offensive line or look to getting another player like Sims which turned out really well. no rookie quarterback will be able to handle playing in the wonderful world of the lions repeated self-destruction. if they do, he won't stay here, be traded.

oh baby, i live in michigan, and i am a total hardcore Quinn fan. i hope to God he comes to Detroit, even though i hate the Lions. i say whatever to Troy Smith. brady is good. He deserves to be in a better NFL team, but, I would love having him in the same state as me. Another team he would be good in is Denver broncos, just cuz i am a Broncos fan. Go brady! i love you!

it will interesting to see , Oakland got good D but their offense stink like dirty socks , they need offensive help , Brooks just doesnt do it in Oak. Lions airesdy got Kitna and they have some weapons too.
Well, we will see when 2007 Draft comes.
