Isnt that annoying! The easiest solution is to jam a crowbar or another sturdy object into this pop-out tray! My computer has 3 cup holders that pop out, but the two below the top one only hold cups 2-3 inches tall!!!!!!!!!
:) Enjoy.

Duct tape! The universal answer!
It's only 3-5 bucks a roll and it fixes at LEAST a good 20 40$ cup holders!
Just wrap the tape around the part that snapped on 42 times and everything will be great ;)

I'm afraid you overloaded the cup holder.
You will have to have an upgraded model fitted. If your PC is over 5 minutes old it's out of date and you'll have to buy a new PC instead.
Oh, and the cup holders are only rated for CUPS. They don't say anything about CONTENTS. Empty cups only please. Otherwise you exceed the terms of the warranty on the computer cup holder.
Alternatively replace your computer with a LAPTOP model with accessory Volvo V90 cupholder unit. This parrticular model has more than 1 accessory cup holder and comes with free leather seats at a cost of approximately 50,000 sterling to you.

Its very funny...
Your cup holder is actually a compact disc reading device (known as the CD-ROM). Your drive tray (the place you apparently place your cups) cannot be replaced. You will have to replace the entire CD-ROM drive itself.
Let me point out a few gaps in your story... for starters, how did you get a "large cup of soda" in a "cup holder" that has a radius of only 1 inch? How have you become a successful computer user without knowing that your "cup holder" doubles as a CD reader?
P.S. my name is Mr. Porksausage but you can call me Sam.

Did you forget to push the TAB key before putting your cup in the holder?

Your computer is just thirsty and wants the coffee for itself. The solution to this is easy: pour some coffee into your computer! It will thank you for it with a nice electronic light show!

Sorry, it's gone for good. You can always locate the other "back up" cup holders on your computer and use those instead.
