A representation of reincarnation.

There is no meaning, since the sun does not set, we just lose sight of it for a while.

In ancient Egypt, they saw the setting sun and the west as symbolising death. Sunset was the time when the sun went to the underworld, and was eaten by Nut, to be reborn in the morning.

When the sun sets here, it's dawn on the other side of the globe. What does it mean, well, it could mean, everyone gets to share the sun, or it could mean we only get half and they get the other half. I don't know.

Are we talking symbolism here or literally?
Symbolically, the setting of the sun is an ending and can be the end of a day or an era.
Literally, it means remember to put your headlights on when you drive home.

just as you have posted is out of context but the saying "the sun never sets" might have a connection as it did when it was used to describe our empire all around the globe

Given the category in which you entered the question Id imagine others here have answered too pragmatically. I would suggest that it means the end of something, probably something glorious but, like everything, depends on the context.

Um, it means the Earth is at that stage in its rotation about its axis that from your longitude direct light from the sun can not fall on the locality. You are at the terminator!
