I mean seriously! Liberals scream pro-choice, but they dont want a choice for the father, or the baby! What about thier choices? What about the fathers? Why dont liberals just say the are pro choice for select people only?

And you've just hit on one of the big reasons for the moral decay in this country in the last 30+ years: the breakdown of the family based on pushing fathers out of their children's lives.

The father has a say before he becomes the father. Like should I or shouldn't I use a condom. If the condom is used then there is no problem.
Yep the choice is a select one. Its not fair! Just like it's not fair that the woman is the one that has to carry the baby nine month and go into hours of labor. If the balance of nature was a little bit more fair then maybe there would be no such thing as abortion because people of both sexes would wear protection all the time if not most of the time.

OK, lets get a couple things straight for the Un-Educated,

I think if anyone did 5 minutes research they would see it was a republican Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmum who wrote the opinion for Roe VS Wade in the Supreme Court, It was also a republican Supreme Court Chief Justice Burger at the time also,
Mrs Bush has even said on national TV (The Today Show) she does not believe the Roe VS Wade should be over turned and thought here husband agreed with her.
The last 6 years the republicans have controlled the supreme court 7-2 and have controlled both the house and senate, they have not did a thing to change Roe VS Wade, So this really isnt the political thing you try to make it out to be.
The Roe VS Wade ruling was about whether the Government can decide for the individual on what they can do with there body.

I just find it amazing the ignorance of some people, including the misguided Asker.

You know you can be pro choice and anti abortion, allot of people are very very torn, like myself, between personally NOT liking the thought of an abortion, and also worrying sick over the millions of Unwanted, Uncared for babies that would be born to Mothers who should not be mothers. I dont feel as a man, I have that right to make a woman do what I think is best with her body, she should be able to choose and I should NOT have the right to FORCE MY WILL ON HER, thats where pro choice comes in

I've been asked the question several times on how I can be anti-abortion put pro-death penality.
You could turn that around and ask all the pro-choice people how they can condone killing innocent babies whose only crime was to be concieved by some idiot who didn't have enough sense to use protection from an unwanted pregnacy, while protect the rights of convicted murders who knew what they were doing when they ended the life of someone in a violent manner.

This is an interesting point. Does the father not have a say? Weighing the whole mess, since the woman carries the fetus, it is her decision. But it's a point well taken.

On the other hand, if the father insists on an abortion, once again he has no say. Again, the woman's choice.

So, it comes to this: since it is the woman who carries the fetus, control of her body is hers. That seems to be the crux of it, who controls whose body.

Abortion is a heartbreak. And conflicts like you talk about are equally heartbreaking.

Your exactly right! The women are pro choice for themselves with no consideration to the choices stolen from the baby and the baby's father.
Although I am pro life, heres my response based on the law. How can it be that "she" can decide to rid herself of parenthood but also force parenthood upon the father. He has no say. If the father is willing to raise the baby, she should legally have to go to term and deliver the baby and allow the father to do the parenting.Theres no reason why he should be forced to be the daddy of a dead baby bc she's incapable of taking responisbility. They made the baby together. Sex is the leading cause of pregnancy and should only be done if your ready for any consequences. Condoms break, birth control pills are missed. Why is a life the only "mistake" we dont have to pay for?

Neither "pro-choice" nor "pro-life" are 100% accurate labels, but I for one use them as shorthand on Yahoo Answers because everyone knows what I mean.

As far as father's rights are concerned, I'll leave it to others to debate.

The choice refers to the choice to determine whether a person may terminate their own pregnancy. It applies to both sexes, who ever is carrying the child has the choice. Men who are able to become pregnant are free to terminate the pregnancy.

What are you babbling about? Why aren't you screaming at God for murdering billions of innocent babies by spontaneous miscarriages? Why aren't you screaming at the pharmaceutical companies for murdering thousands of potential babies by creating birth control pills, RU-486, and condoms? Do you really think bringing more and MORE screaming mouths to feed into this already overpopulated world is God's will? Those children are going to die slow, painful deaths in this world instead of the merciful quick death of an abortion.
