employer hired two green guys and terminated me, a journeyman. I was also an officer of the company. dont i have rights?

Since you were a Corporate Officer you should have had an employment contract which, normally, spells out the terms and conditions of continued employment. Unless you were let go for reasons other than those stated in your contract, you may have a case for "wrongful termination".

On the other hand, if you don't have an employment contract, and the termination was not for "cause" - violation of company rules, misconduct, "moral turpitude", reduction in force, incompetence, or the like, you may (unless you signed a waiver) have the right to sue for age discrimination (EEOC), and/ or "wrongful discharge", or "constructive discharge".

In any case see a competent employment attorney. (Don't forget your contract, if any).
