If a man has an attractive face, do you think balding really takes away from it?

Honestly I never thought that I would be attracted to a balding man, but my boyfriend of 3 years is going bald and he's only 25! I don't care though because he is the most amazing person that I know and if someone wants to write him off because of something that he has no control over, that's their loss! I guess I'm saying that it's more than hair, or an attractive face that makes a real man, it's the whole package!

Sadly for most people it would. I have a son who started balding at age 15. He has been called many cruel things. This is something that he cannot help. He is otherwise handsome. He attends a school of over 2000 students and has not had a girlfriend from here. He went out of town on a school function and now has about 15 girls that email him from all over our state. There is one that is more special than the others and she is aware that he emails the others. I saw a complete change in his attitude and his grades after this happened last year. So, be careful how you judge people just because of their looks. Bald can be beautiful. Don't give in to what others may think, be honest with yourself. If it matters to you, then, don't lead the person on. It's okay not to like baldness. Just don't use that as your only measuring stick.

Truthfully though.......be confident, show some charisma and have what's left cut short. If you start wimping about with the inevitable, that will make you look more unattractive than the balding. Usually, if you're not bothered, other people aren't either.

Also a completely shaved bald head has a way of making some men look ageless.

Wow. You don't know. No No No it certainly does not! If you look around you will find that the norm is this:
Very few men have a full head of hair after 40. It NEVER looks good for a man to try to hide his hair loss with combovers and such.I have a number of male friends with shaved\balding heads. One friend was not even slightly attractive with what little hair he did have. He shaved his head and now he is totally hot!

It depends on the hair style...if it's a comb-over....then yes, that would detract (that style is strictly for the over 70's!).

If the hair is receeding - then generally (in my experience), the guys tend to have very short hair (or have a fully shaved head).

My partner is balding (many years of serving in the RAF and having to wear a beret / helmet (ex pilot)....however, I love him just the way he is. His hair grows wild if he hasn't had it cut for a while which is fine...but when he has a short back and sides...he looks gorgeous (even with his thinning hair on the crown)....

.....maybe it does help that he has amazing blue eyes?!! ;-)

I think it all depends on what is done with the hair the guy has left. If he does a comb-over, then ewww definately not, but if he cuts it really short, or shaves it smooth then I think it can look really good. Completely bald guys can look hot too, look at the actor who plays Lex Luther in Smallville, I know his head is shaved for the part, but he looks damn fine!

Probably in some cases but their are lots of attractive bald men like Thierry Henry and Zinedine Zidane for example.

to be serious, I have no idea why some women find some guys attractive, but I don't think face is a big factor. I know some women don't like bald men, but some men shave their entire head and the women like them.

Remember attraction isn't all looks. Balding men are attractive to, as long as it's not a comb over lol. Short and neat I think.
