Day of memorial for Gerald Ford.

No mail, federal offices are closed, some banks are closed, stock market is closed, etc.
Hopefully it won't be a holiday every year. I don't like holidays. I have Apserger's Syndrome (a mild form of autism), and, like all autistics, I gotta have my routine. Holidays disrupt my routine. I just survived the halloween thanksgiving christmas new years mess and now they gotta throw another one my way.
At least school starts up this week and so I can get back to work.

For today it is a Day of remembrance for President Ford so the Post Office and such will be closed but I do not believe that it is a National Holiday just for this year and for Ford's funeral.

Today is a National Day of Mourning in honor of our former president, Gerald R. Ford. It is not a holiday.

Today is NOT a National holiday. There is a funeral today for former President Gerald Ford, so much of Washington, D.C. is closed down. but it is not a hilday. The mail will come today and the banks are open.

It depends on how you define "national holiday." The stock market is closed due to Gerald Ford's death. There is no US postal delivery, the banks are closed and in many localities (I suspect) there is no garbage pickup. But nevertheless, here I am at my office!

As far as I'm concerned this ISN'T a national holiday. I honestly don't believe it is.
