Tuesday is a countrywide day of mourning. All government places of work inclusive of the submit place of work would be closed. Only essential services are available with most support staff given the day off. Only essential personel are on duty so for the most part no government business is being done today.

i believe so. certainly, the US stock markets are closed, which infers that banks will close as well, and the US Postal Service announced that it will be closed (even though that has not been a "government" office since the late 70's, when it privatized).

gov offices, post office, schools. all closed but dang it the banks have to be open!

In my state, federal and state offices are, but not county, which I work for. :O)
