I would hope she doesn't win, not that I have anything personally against her, I think she is a wonderful person very charismatic and charming, but she has no real experience or track record in politics. I don't think the American people are so stupid that they'd elect someone with no history in politics, no experience in government, and no credentials in either to be their president just because she's an enjoyable, likable TV personality who made a spur of moment decision to run. That would surprise me if Americans did something that deliberately idiotic.

Yes she will be a great president because:
She is is very clever (especially in comparison with the last bunch of presidents (yes, including Clinton)).
A lot more common sense.
She is actually listening to other people.
Unfortunately, I don't think she will run because:
She has a better paying stable (not temporary) job
In her campaign the main issue will become gender and race, not ability.
Sadly enough American politics hasn't grown up to her level

We would adopt Africa! We would have looney stars jumping up and down on the white house lawn! America would be updated on the fashions of the world. Gayle would be the vice president. Oprah is a great person and humanitian those qualifications don't make a great president.

I do not agree...if any black woman could make to be President of the United States, it would be Oprah. Assassinated, no, too many of not only security, but her fans, would take a bulllet for her. The woman is that popular and loved. She has given too many people more chances in life than many have not deserved to succeed to not want to take a bullet for her if given the opportunity.

She'll probably get an interesting number of votes..because sometime Americans vote on popularity rather than intelligence !
This is not to say Oprah is not intelligent but she has no business being president..its better she remains the sweetheart of white middle class American Women !

All laughing aside and on to more serious approaches, if Oprah ran for office then she would win. All the blacks would vote for her. All the gays would as well. I would also think a ton of women would vote her in also.
Looks like that makes up 75% of the population!

I don't think she would get assasinated. The US is pretty good at preventing that.
Don't think she'd get elected either tho. Then again, I would not vote for her, although I think she is a positive person.
I'd probably vote for Colin Powel if I were American. He is an honest guy whose served his country with integrity and who knows to use military with full ends in mind.

I think she would waste a lot of her own money in the running.I agree with your opinion of her, but at the present time, she is not the woman to lead the country, if indeed America is ready for a woman President.I am not sure if it is perhaps, but nevertheless, one wonders.
