these are factorials.
5! = 1x2x3x4x5 = 120
6! = 1x2x3x4x5x6 = 720
5! / 6! = 1/6
120 / 720 = 0.16 or 1/6
there are many examples like 2! / 3! = 1/3.........

5! = 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 120
6! = 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 720
so 120/720 = 1/6
Any number with the factorial sign after it is that number multiplied by one less and then by two less and so on down to multiplied by 1.
3! = 3 x 2 x 1
4! = 4 x 3 x 2 x 1
and so on

Since 5!= 5*4*3*2*1
and 6!=6*5*4*3*2*1
5!/6! will be equal to 1/6 since the 5*4*3*2*1 is in the numerator and denominator and will drop out.

5! divided by 6! can be written as:
{(5)*(4)*(3)*(2)*(1)} divided by {(6)*(5)*(4)*(3)*(2)*(1)}
which when simplified, will arrive to the answer 1/6...

Are we meant to resolve for Y? that's not attainable till it is an equation i think of. so some distance all you have up is a million/3(7y-a million) + a million/6(4y+7) and that isn't be an equation because of the fact there isn't any "=" in any of that.

5!/6! = 1x2x3x4x5 / 1x2x3x4x5x6
1x2x3x4x5 is in both the numerator and denominator cancelling each other out leaving 1 / 6.
