It's not that we care, really, it is just entertaining to see these beautiful and rich people trying to appear normal in society and messing up. The psychology behind some of it is amazing, even though the majority of them are not very smart.

It is a vicious circle...back in the day no one really knew what the 'stars' did, so when news broke people were interested...
Now, its almost commonplace to know about what the stars are doing and you are left out in the cold if you dont know...
In the end...the media is only doing what the customers want...(satisfy enough customers to be competitive)

Sad to say mostly everything the stars do the media tells us and gives us more reasons to be like them. Like with Hillary, Lindsay, And Nicole woman are getting pressured to start having eating disorders.

Unfortunately, some people really do care. But that is only a small minority.
Most people don't really care and the media forcefeeds it to us. The only people who really care about celebrities are the magazines themselves.

you're right! who watches those shows anyways! WE DON'T CARE!!!!!! They try making the celebs sound so nice but all they really are are people always getting divorced because they have a lot of money. I don't care if they went to a party! I wasn't invited! then it makes me wonder......Why am I on the celebrity part of Y!A?

I really couldn't care less, they put their pants on one leg at a time, same as the rest of us, but the previous responses are right on the money, this crap sells.

It's simple entrainment i don't care what they are doing especially in their personal lives. If i like them in the professional lives that's OK but all the other crap i pay no attention to at all

I don't give a toss what any of them are up to...and if they are splattered all over newspapers and magazines, I simply don't buy them...saves me an awful lot of money!
